Within the framework of Public-University-Industry Cooperation (KUSI) activities carried out by the Turkish Ministry of Industry and Technology, it is aimed to strengthen research infrastructures and industrial cooperation.
In this regard, IBG hosted the “Izmir Biomedicine and Genome Center Promotion and Cooperation Meeting” on Dec 12th, 2019 in collaboration with the Turkish Ministry of Industry and Technology General Directorate of R&D Incentives and IZKA (Izmir Development Agency), in order to promote IBG and discover opportunities for cooperation with industry.
In his opening speech, IBG Director Prof. Dr. Mehmet Öztürk introduced IBG as a national Research Center within the scope of Law No. 6550. İlknur İnam, Head of Department at the Turkish Ministry of Industry and Technology, gave information on Public-University-Industry Cooperation activities, whereas Dr. Mehmet Yavuz, Secretary General of IZKA, spoke about the activities of IZKA.
Companies participating in the B2B meeting from academia and industries such as biotechnology, food, pharmaceuticals, medical device, textile and software had the opportunity to meet IBG Research Groups, IBG Technology Platforms and IBG Research Support Units to discuss potential collaborations.
