Cooperation Agreement with VSY Biotechnology
With the objective of further improving its “know-how” on eye diseases, VSY Biotechnology has chosen to collaborate with IBG (Izmir Biomedicine and Genome Center) to develop novel pharmaceuticals.
VSY Biotechnology is a company founded on the basis of sustainable innovation and development in 1997 with the mission of manufacturing innovative products in the fields of pharmaceuticals, medical devices and biotechnology, making these available to masses and improving the quality of people’s lives.
The company has risen rapidly as a result of developing and manufacturing innovative products such as an intraocular lens used in cataract surgeries, a multifocal intraocular lens that allows to see near and far distances without glasses, hyaluronic acid which is a viscoelastic agent used in eye surgeries and an intraocular lens providing uninterrupted, continuous near, middle and distant vision.
With the objective of further improving its “know-how” on eye diseases, VSY Biotechnology has chosen to collaborate with IBG (Izmir Biomedicine and Genome Center) to develop novel pharmaceuticals.
As a result of discussions held with a group led by IBG Researcher Dr. Sibel Kalyoncu Uzunlar, a cooperation agreement was made and a project on the treatment of eye diseases was initiated.
