Izmir Biomedicine and Genome Center (IBG) and Dokuz Eylül University Technopark (DEPARK) have reached an agreement to cooperate on technology transfer processes.
The parties convened on Friday, 11 June at the Dokuz Eylul Rectorate. Among the guests attending the signing ceremony were DEÜ Rector Prof. Dr. Nükhet HOTAR, IBG Chair of the Executive Board and Acting Director Prof. Dr. Ahmet YOZGATLIGİL, DEPARK General Manager Prof. Dr. Özgür ÖZÇELİK, DETTO Coordinator Prof. Dr. Hasan SELİM and IBG Executive Board Member and DETTO Health Coordinator Prof. Dr. Mehmet Birhan YILMAZ.
The main objective of the signed protocol is to enable DEPARK to conduct the work involving the protection of IBG’s intellectual property rights, as well as handling the processes of commercialisation and technology transfer. Both parties stated that they believe this protocol designed to receive the patent rights of the technology and products generated and developed at IBG and commercialise them will be fruitful soon.
