Three members of IBG received 2018 TÜBA Awards
The 2018 Turkish Academy of Sciences (TÜBA)-GEBİP Outstanding Young Scientist Awards were given under the auspices of the Presidency on 26 December 2018 at a ceremony which took place at the Presidential Complex. President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, Speaker of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey Binali Yıldırım, Minister of Industry and Technology Mustafa Varank, President of the Council of Higher Education Prof. Dr. Yekta Saraç, members of Parliament and YÖK, TÜBA President Prof. Dr. Ahmet Cevat Acar, TÜBİTAK President Prof. Dr. Hasan Mandal, members of TÜBA, university rectors, other members of protocol and academicians, families of awardees and guests attended the ceremony. The awards were given to 36 young scientists from 24 different universities, among whom were Assoc. Prof. Canan Aslı Yıldırım, Assoc. Prof. Duygu Sağ and Asst. Prof. Serhat Tozburun from IBG.
