A publication led by Dr. Ezgi Karaca and Dr. Burcu Özden from the Karaca Lab at the IBG has been recognized among the Top 10 Most-Cited Papers of 2023 by the prestigious journal PROTEINS: Structure, Function, and Bioinformatics.
The paper, titled “The impact of AI-based modeling on the accuracy of protein assembly prediction: Insights from CASP15,” explores the power of artificial intelligence in improving the accuracy of protein complex predictions—a longstanding challenge in computational structural biology. The research draws on data from the CASP15 experiment and highlights the significant advances made possible through AI-driven approaches.
This impactful study was supported through the Wiley-TÜBİTAK agreement in collaboration with the University of California, Davis, exemplifying a successful international research partnership.
