TÜSEB (Health Institutes of Turkey) President Prof. Dr. Adil Mardinoğlu and General Secretary Prof. Dr. Hasan Türkez visited Izmir Biomedicine and Genome Center (IBG).
The visit which took place on Monday 19 August 2019 commenced with Director Prof. Dr. Mehmet Öztürk’s presentation of IBG as a National Public Research Center within the scope of Law No. 6550. As part of Technological Research, IBG Director Prof. Dr. Mehmet Öztürk gave information on Novel Anti-HER2 Antibodies, and the following IBG Researchers gave information on their respective topics: Prof. Dr. Esra Erdal on the IBG-Nevcell Platform, Prof. Dr. Hülya Ayar Kayalı on Ovarian Cancer Diagnostic Kit, Prof. Dr. Neşe Atabey on IBG Biobank, Assoc. Prof. Serhat Tozburun on Biophotonics and Optical Imaging Techniques, Dr. Arif Engin Çetin on Nanophotonics and Biodetection Systems, Dr. Gülçin Çakan on Zebrafish Model and DiagnosisTechnologies, Dr. Serap Erkek on the IBG-Bioinformatics Platform, IBG Assistant Director Dr. Soner Gündemir on the IBG-Farma Platform. Following the presentations, guests had the opportunity to visit the research and innovation laboratories which include IBG’s GLP, GMP and Biopharma units. The visit concluded with wishes of cooperation between TÜSEB and IBG.
