3rd Experimental Animal Models Training Course
Stereotaxic Surgery and Animal Models (15 April 2026)

This course provides a comprehensive training program addressing the scientific and technical aspects of stereotaxic surgery applications in laboratory animals. The training will cover both theoretical and practical components related to stereotaxic surgical techniques, the use of brain atlases, intracerebral injection, infusion and microdialysis techniques, as well as the positioning of laboratory animals in stereotaxic devices.

Participants will have the opportunity to gain knowledge on the fundamental principles and experimental applications of stereotaxic surgical techniques used in experimental animal models.

Registration Requirements

Participation requires a valid Laboratory Animal Use Certificate.

Applicants who wish to participate in the course must complete the registration form and send it via e-mail to by 30 March 2026, 17:00.

The following documents must be submitted in PDF format together with the registration form:

• Copy of the Laboratory Animal Use Certificate

• Copy of an identity document

• Student / employee / postdoctoral fellow certificate

Applications will be evaluated, and candidates within the quota will receive a confirmation e-mail granting final registration.

The course quota is limited to 5 participants.

The Animal Experiments Local Ethics Committee of the İzmir Biomedicine and Genome Center reserves the right to make changes to the course schedule, dates, or session hours if deemed necessary, or to cancel the course. Participants will be informed at least one week in advance. In case of cancellation, the participation fees will be refunded.
