IBG organized a series of events titled IBG Days in 2015, 2016, and 2017.
Since 2015, the Institute has hosted international courses, conferences, and symposia, enabling the continuous monitoring and dissemination of national and international scientific developments.
First introduced in 2018, Science Day has been held annually as 10 November IBG Science Day since 2019.
The 10 November IBG Science Day events in 2020, 2021, 2022, and 2023 were designed as a continuation of this now well-established scientific tradition at IBG.
In 2024, the scope of IBG Science Day was further expanded. While continuing to commemorate Gazi Mustafa Kemal Atatürk—the founder of the Republic of Türkiye, who entrusted the Republic to the youth—through the guiding principles of science, the program was enriched with a variety of activities specifically aimed at young researchers.
In 2025, IBG Science Day builds upon the expanded framework introduced in 2024. The science-centered commemorative tradition has been preserved and further strengthened with content designed to enhance the visibility and engagement of early-career researchers. In alignment with the designation of 2025 as the “Year of the Family,” IBG Science Day has been positioned within this broader context. Accordingly, the 2025 IBG Science Day is organized under the theme “Rare Diseases” to raise awareness of health conditions that directly affect families.
