Türkiye’s second astronaut, Tuva Cihangir Atasever, visits IBG

Tuva Cihangir Atasever, Türkiye’s second astronaut, who took part in the “Galactic 07” crew within the scope of the Turkish Space Traveller and Science Mission, visited the Izmir Biomedicine and Genome Center (IBG).

During his visit, Atasever engaged in an in-depth exchange with IBG’s principal investigators regarding the seven scientific experiments he conducted during his suborbital flight. The meetings with research teams focused on evaluating the potential impacts of these experiments and exploring the new avenues they may open for future scientific studies.

Atasever also initiated preliminary discussions on developing joint projects with IBG scientists, marking an important step toward strengthening inter-institutional collaboration.
